Job Title: Policy Intern

Reporting to: Senior Policy Officer

ASH prioritises policy impact as a key measure of success and holds strong relationships with a range of organisations across the public health community. The Policy Intern will support the development and implementation of ASH’s local government and inequalities policy, maintaining ASH’s public health networks and supporting the wider team as required.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:
• A strong academic record and relevant university degree
• An interest in politics and health policy
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organisational, administrative, and IT skills

We welcome applications from postgraduate students (a postgraduate degree is not a requirement for the post and should not discourage those with only an undergraduate degree from applying).

Interview/Start dates
The deadline for applications is Friday 27th November. Interviews will be held on Monday 7th December via video call on ‘Microsoft Teams’, with a start date as soon as possible thereafter.

ASH staff are currently working from home with the option of going into the office. Our office is currently based in Clerkenwell, London but we will be moving to a new office in Vauxhall, London from December 2020.
