On the 17th June, ASH hosted the online webinar: Delivering on the shift to prevention in the NHS
The webinar explored the changing role of ICBs in response to the government’s priority to ‘shift to prevention’. It was be chaired by Sarah Woolnough, Chief Executive of The King’s Fund, and the keynote speaker was Sir Jim Mackey, Chief Executive of NHS England.
The webinar took tobacco control as the case study for what can be achieved and highlight the opportunities to accelerate progress in preventing the major drivers of poor health and health inequalities. It included updates from Dr Chris Weiner, Chief Medical Officer at Derby & Derbyshire ICB, Ailsa Rutter, Director of Fresh North East, and Peter Rodderick, Director of Public Health at City of York Council.
