This toolkit was developed by ASH to provide practical guidance on implementing youth vaping prevention initiatives. It has been reviewed by a range of partners with expertise in vaping and smoking in young people. The content will be relevant to any organisation seeking to develop or implement youth vaping prevention initiatives.

The toolkit is informed by insights from a survey of youth vaping prevention initiatives run by local authorities. The survey was carried out by the University of Bristol, with support from ASH, Improving Performance in Practice (iPiP), Sheffield City Council and the Humber and North Yorkshire Centre for Excellence.

The toolkit sets out:

  • Lesson for practice
  • Responses to common myths about vaping
  • Practical advice on language and messaging
  • Links to trusted sources of evidence and guidance
