This webinar, hosted by ASH in conjunction with the CQC, presented the new CQC guidance on smokefree policies in inpatient mental health settings. The focus of the webinar is understanding and implementing the new guidance and is relevant to both CQC inspectors and those working in mental health settings. 7 tips for helping smokers with mental health problems QUIT

This Mental Health & Smoking Partnership resource sets out 7 tips for helping smokers with mental health problems quit for good. These tips were developed by Rethink expert by experience, Hannah Moore, based on her personal experience of quitting smoking as a mental health service user. Hannah’s tips are accompanied by advice from mental health professionals and experts. These tips are based primarily on the inpatient experience but are also relevant to community mental health services.
