The Local Toolkit is a set of materials for local public health professionals involved in tobacco control. It was created by ASH, the Faculty of Public Health, the Local Government Association and Fresh. The materials are designed for use with Councillors and other stakeholders to help ensure that tackling tobacco use is high on the local public health agenda.

ASH and Fresh have produced a new brief guide for local authorities on how to achieve a smokefree generation (where 5% or less of the population smoke).
Costs of smoking to social housing: The quitting dividend for tenants and landlords
A briefing and cost calculator for housing providers exploring the financial impact smoking has on social housing landlords and tenants.
Ready Reckoner tool 2018
Calculate the local costs of smoking with our Ready Reckoner. It’s an easy to use Excel spreadsheet that provides estimates of the local cost of smoking to smokers, the NHS and society at large. This version of the tool has been retrofitted to be consistent with the England data released in the Department of Health and Social Care’s publication “Towards a Smokefree Generation: A Tobacco Control Plan for England“. Annual local tobacco control report
Reports written by ASH and commissioned by Cancer Research UK on the state of funding for, and provision of, tobacco control measures and smoking cessation services in England.
